Business ready SIP Trunks
with BT announcing the end of ISDN service by 2025 Sip Trunks will be required to keep you business communications flowing
A SIP Trunk is purely a means of connecting one device (Phone handset) to another (Phone system, phone handset). It uses data packets to transfer the voice in pretty much the same way as ISDN circuits. Over the years there has been worry surrounding the quality of SIP trunks and the calls that are made over them. SIP trunks are a better solution in a whole host of different ways to ISDN circuits and configured and set-up in the right way can be a massive boost to your business communications.
The example we always use is trying to drive a Ferrari down a sandy beach, it won’t do very well and keep stopping and getting stuck, well its the same with SIP trunks. Put SIP trunks over a unreliable data circuit and the data in the conversation will get stuck or even worse lost.
We understand that a reliable phone service is crucial for any business. This is why we will never install a SIP trunk on a customers premises if we were not 100% sure of the level of service from a data service point of view. Most installations we do we insist on our own dedicated voice services are put in as a seperate service to the line used for the IT network.
